| JOB DESCRIPTION: |
Specific Duties: a. Drive IRC vehicle assigned to as instructed and allocated; b. Identify and report immediately any vehicle problem/defects to Head driver and notify Logistics supervisor; c. Ensure allocated vehicle has valid vehicle has valid insurance and road license. Inform Head drive one month in advance to expiration; d. Responsible for general cleanliness of the vehicle; body, chassis, engine etc.; e. Ensure existence of logbook and also ensure proper filling of the logbook; f. Ensure loading and offloading of his/her Vehicle; g. Ensure strong respect of the traffic rules and IRC vehicle procedures. Speed depends on conditions of the road, load of the vehicle and number of people on the area; h. Ensure regularly overhaul the materials (spare tire, jack, belts, ropes); i. Ensure the presence of basic tools (different type of spanners, jack ….); j. Assist Mechanics during service and maintenance of your vehicle and ensure service record are update and monitored; k. Ensure tires maintained at the pressures recommended in the vehicle manual for the appropriate road speed and vehicle loading. Finance/Budgeting a. To ensure vehicle assigned to maintain according to manufacture instruction, IRC policy and procedures and Instruction from your supervisor in order to keep vehicle’s running cost is at acceptable amount. Security/Communication a. Ensure communication system in the vehicle maintained and repaired to acceptable condition; b. Ensure clear understanding; logistics policy and security policy vision; c. Ensure vehicle has updated contact phone number, call-sign. Common Duties a. Attend and participate in trainings identified/organized by your supervisor; b. Follow any new procedures and guidelines designated in circulars from Field Coordinator and/or Country Director; c. Report any violations of the IRC Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Code of Conduct (LR and World-wide) as per the IRC Worldwide reporting mechanism. The reporting of violations is an obligation on the part of all staff members; d. Assist where necessary in undertaking activities that aim to prevent the occurrence of sexual abuse and exploitation of beneficiaries by IRC and other humanitarian workers; e. Carries out other duties as assigned by you supervisor. |

Qualifications High School Graduate, Valid driving license, 2-year experience. Understands, reads, and speaks English |
